Kevan Myers

His spiritual education and training started early. Kevan Myers was still in the womb when his father first preached to him and urged him to trust Christ as Savior. As much money was spent on books as on putting food on the table. No wonder he trusted in Jesus Christ as his Savior at the tender age of three and his Cubbies’ leaders were shocked to find he was already reading. He heard Duane Gish and Ken Ham speak when he attended his first creation seminar at the age of six. Their visit to Kansas City brought a whole new section of knowledge to his father’s library, which Kevan eagerly devoured.
Dedicating his life to the Lord at age six to be a missionary, he regularly lobbied at his state capitol for the legalization of homeschooling and against abortion. He canvassed neighborhoods politically and evangelistically. Christian service was a way of life with his family both in the church building and out—VBS, neighborhood 5-Day Clubs, door-to-door visitation, and camps.
Ignoring the daily sounds of gunfire and drive-by-shootings in inner city neighborhoods, they trusted God for protection and saw Him work.
“Don’t look now, but there is a gun on us.” Singing and teaching continued in the inner city ghetto where more than fifty had been congregated to hear the Gospel all week. Children were urged to make a stand for Christ and more than ten who had trusted Christ that week rose to dedicate their lives to the Lord, no matter the cost.
Writing came naturally to him. A cast of twenty performed his first full-scale play before he was ten. As he reached his early teen years, he continued writing lyrics, poetry, drama, and stories, and he further developed his teaching skills with completion of several courses.
Despite his youth, he is a seasoned campaigner. Sunday school, children’s church, VBS, neighborhood 5-Day clubs, Good News clubs, children’s and youth camps, camp speaker, Bible conferences, Christian schools. Open-air witnessing, tract distribution, street preaching, speaking out against evils in society (abortion, sodomy), writing songs, stories, and programs.
Inner city and out state missionary, Kevan has traveled speaking, teaching, and singing throughout the mid-western states.
For about four years, he was a guide at Dinosaur Adventure Land.  In 2007, he had the opportunity to travel to Israel, Greece and Turkey, visiting many biblical sites.
Little children, young people, and even adults will gather to listen when he begins storytelling.  Kevan weaves many puns and word plays into his messages, which will keep the audience’s attention and help them remember the lessons.   Kevan says, “God didn’t give me a brain. He gave me a mind.” Since age six, he has studied and read about creation and dinosaurs.   Favorite verse on dinosaurs is Psalm 148:7

Kevan has three goals in his speaking:
*To declare the truth of the word of the LORD
*To share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the unsaved
*To equip and challenge the saved to follow Jesus Christ, the Creator and Savior
“There is still time to win a battle before the sun goes down.”
