Yesterday, the Myers Family presented Dinosaurs Through History to three chapels at Lake Region Christian School, and then again to a group of the senior citizens of the same church there in Brainerd/Baxter, Minnesota. That was our last service in Minnesota this trip. What a blessing!
Many of the high school students remembered us from over 6 years ago when we had been there last, and it was a joy to be able to present our new ministry of Creation2Christ with them. Think of it- equipping those from kindergarten age to adults in their nineties to give the answers about what Bible has to say about dinosaurs through history, all in one day (actually within 7 hours)!
We have now preached and sang in services 17 times in 2 weeks here in the Land of Over 10,000 Lakes. We’ve served in churches, time release classes, nursing homes, a Christian School, and a state prison, as well as in personal witnessing.
The response has been enthusiastic. Hundreds have heard the message. Many believers have come to tell us how they have been encouraged in their faith and challenged to witness. Many unbelievers have had the seeds sown, and have had the stronghold of the religion of Evolutionism crumble before their eyes. Pray they will go on to trust in their Creator and take His as their personal Saviour from sin.
We have enjoyed being in this state where we spent time in ministry for some years. It has been wonderful to be here again and see old friends and deliver the truths of the Scriptures from Creation2Christ. Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!
We planned to come up to Minnesota and then get out before the snow arrived, but God wanted us to see white stuff, so He sent a few snows to come temporarily. It was great to see it, but we were concerned, because our tires were so worn, nearly bald. But Christ our Creator and Redeemer does all things well. This past Sunday, a man at a church we preached and sang at walked up and gave Dad a card. he owns a tire business and loves to help missionaries. The next day, he and another tire place owner went together put on all new tires for the van, as a gift. What a blessing from our Great Provider!
Today, we point our big white van south and start to venture homeward.
Please pray for our safety and our health especially. Stanley (the father) has a bad cold, and I (Kevan) still have a dry cough.
Also pray for the Lord to raise up more support from His people so that we may be able to effectively continue and grow the ministry in the future. We are a faith-based ministry, and have monthly support from one church so far, our dear home church, Smyrna Baptist Church. The bulk of the rest of our supply is from God’s grace, through love offerings, and the sales from the resources (materials and tools) we offer.
